Harry was a little boy living in a small room under the stairs, with his beloved
aunt's family, the Dursleys. Beloved? ok, not really. He wasn't spending the
best times of his life with them. He was treated badly and he was being told
lies about all. He didn't even know the strange way his mother and father died...not
in a car accident as he ha been thinking up to this point, but...
You are a wizard, Harry...Words came out of Hagrid's mouth as an incredible
shock for little Harry. His mother hadn't died in a car accident, she had died
in front of the great Lord Voldermort, he who can't be named, in order to protect
him. And he had survived. His name is already a legend in the world of the magicians.
And now it is time Harry Potter is restored to his rightfull place and is off
to Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry!
Thus starts the first book of Harry Potter, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's
Stone (Sorceress Stone in USA), describing how Harry set off on his big Hogwart's
adventure. First year at Hogwart's is tough, but aided by his close friends
Ron Wisley and Hermione Granger, and with the help of Hagrid and Albus Dubledore
himself, Harry will come through great perils and on to the accomplishment of
extraordinary tasks.
Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone is an incredible story that will appeal
to both younger and older readers. The children will find a unique reading about
a brave boy and his friends doing all the things a 11-year old would do. As
for adults, no comments are necessary. Slip into the Diagon Alley of your sweetest
childish memories and pull into platform nine and three-quarters of your imagination
into a trip that will bring you in a world of wizards and mythical masters,
a world with Fine Wands since 382 B.C.and of course Quidditch! |
